Tax Time

The famous Egyptian singer Amr Diab paid the tax department an amount of two million Egyptian Pounds, which he had owed them and failed to pay in advance. There have been some problems between the famous singer and the tax agency for some time and by making this payment the singer has settled all disputes.

The tax agency demanded Diab pay a total sum of ten millions in taxes and fines that had been accumulated throughout his singing career.

According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Diab went to the higher tax authority to solve this problem. He made sure that he will pay taxes for the contracts that he made with production companies and any other agency.

... Diab’s manager Ahmad Zaglool made clear that the new album “Khaleek Ma’ayah” (Stay with Me) by Diab will be the last project worked with Rotana and will be in stores before the end of next month.
