Absence of stars threatens Cairo’s Ramadan tents

In the past, the place for competition between different famous singers of all kind and made Cairo nights extra special during Ramadan was the Ramadan Tents. Those tents brought great income during the holy month. This year the Ramadan Tents are not as popular as they once were for one many of the famous singers are staying away from them.

There are a large number of well-known singers like Amer Diab, Muhammad Fouad, Ehab Tawfiq, Hisham Abbas, Mustafa Qamar, Hamada Hialal and many more are had refused to accept any offer to sing in these tents and preferred to stay away, where once they were the ones who made these tents possible and very popular among their fans.

According to the London daily Elaph, the economy has nothing to do with the lack of interest in those tents on the contrary; the main reason is that famous singers are asking for too much money in order to hold performances. For example famous Amr Diab asked for 600 thousands Egyptian Pounds, Muhammad Fouad asked for 500 thousands E.P.
