Prominent Egyptian singer Amr Diab has undergone a surgical operation in complete secrecy at one of the hospitals in Al Muhandiseen area in Cairo. The singer had arrived to hospital in the company of a number of bodyguards, and after undergoing several medical exams he was requested to remain in hospital to have an operation to remove a kidney stone.

The hospital’s security made sure that hospital staff and people from the outside were not able to come in contact with the singer or enter his room, aside from the medical team that did the operation.

Amr remained in hospital for one day and was sent home and requested to take time off to relax.Amr’s business manager, Ahmad Zaghloul, stressed that the singer is in good health and had only went to hospital to have a medical checkup, which is something he does on a regular basis. Ahmad was shocked to learn that news of the operation had leaked and refused to comment on the matter. Link
